My Work
Authenticity matters in therapy, and having a therapist you can depend on to be transparent and direct with you is essential. Whatever concerns you’re bringing into counseling, you can count on me to be straightforward with you and take your priorities seriously.
My style as a therapist is conversational and humorous, but I’m also ready to get to work. We’ll collaborate to clarify your goals, and come up with a plan to help you get there. I’m solution-focused when you need it, and will help challenge your thinking when your mindset is getting in the way. I can also step back from tools and strategies to offer support and insight too.
Many of my clients are Black women and/or members of the LGBTQIA+ community looking to improve their relationships with themselves or others. I support clients through life transitions like career changes, marriage, divorce, and more. I also work well with clients addressing identity issues, anxiety, and ADHD, as well as a variety of other common mental health concerns.
Starting therapy can be scary, but it’s also an opportunity for transformation. If you’ve got the courage to take the first step, I invite you to connect with me today!

My Story
I came into the mental health field out of a deep desire to understand myself and my experiences better. Along the way, I found an innate capacity for connecting with others, and a deep fulfillment in witnessing the ways we’re all the same and different.
While in grad school, I came to learn about the people I most wanted to serve and felt the most passionate about. I learned about the huge disparity within mental health for Black individuals to find or have access to Black providers. I’m in this work to help bridge that gap, and fight the power as best I can.
I understand what it’s like to feel different from other people, to have anxiety, to struggle with relationships, to be an overachiever, to come from a household where expectations were high, to hold myself to the highest standards (even if unrealistic), to want to make a difference in the system, to feel the weight of being attacked by the system, and to just be overwhelmed, while being expected to pretend everything is okay.
I’m from New Orleans, played many sports growing up (so I’m competitive), and am very into anime, video games, cosplay, animals, and the outdoors.
